Excellent topic — wanted to add a few thoughts. From what I have seen across a fair few trips, the small decisions matter more than the big ones. What I keep coming back to is how much difference the right company makes. Matching pace with whoever you travel with prevents most friction. Most people discover this the hard way. Pack light, notice more — anticipation and memory carry half the journey.
